place for thoughts on vloud, the future of online dsp, and other stuff. updated by me, trevor kampmann. theme an ode to JSTN's of muxtape.
vloud helps musicians and listeners enhance their mp3s.
we do this via a proprietary engine that makes music louder and audio more intelligible.
why should anyone care?
1. you or your band has recorded a song that you want to put on myspace, tumblr, etc. vloud will increase the volume of the song, and help make it “pop” on small speakers. (ie, mac laptop speakers) this helps your music compete with/stand out from other music.
2. you have annoyingly quiet songs in your music library. things you can’t hear with the volume turned all the way up. vloud will take those problem songs, get them to the industry standard level.
3. you have a podcast, a video or some other creation that has an audio track that’s just too quiet. vloud can take the audio and again bring it up to an industry standard level.
this kind of processing is usually arduous and expensive…vloud makes it easy and free.
oh, and it’s the first audio processing tool we’ve seen on the web…which we think is pretty neat. a high-resolution version is scheduled to launch this fall.
p.s. we’re seeing a lot of people attempting to forward the vloud.com/yoursonghere URL to friends. we don’t allow this for privacy reasons. best just to download and send via email/senduit.com.
thanks
